Under the autonomous status of the institute and in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Department of Engineering Sciences and Humanities holds a central role in coordinating academic and co-curricular activities for all First Year B.Tech students. The Head of Department leads the initiative through strategic collaboration with First-Year Academic Coordinators, Time-Table and Exam Cell Coordinators, Course Coordinators, Class Teachers, Mentors, Course Faculty, and Class Representatives. This structured approach ensures smooth integration of academic operations with mentoring and co-curricular support.
With the conferment of autonomous status, the curriculum structure and syllabus for First Year B.Tech are designed through a consultative process involving industry professionals, academic experts, and interdisciplinary faculty panels. Key considerations include:
